I described them as subcultures within the Hip Hop culture, each with ideological differences.

Nor did I say that most mainstream Hip Hop artist are white. I cited a source that said that most of the people who buy mainstream Hip Hop albums are white.

I agree color has less to do with Hip Hop than does something like socio-economic background/status.

So as you can see this essay actually has no flaws in it, because the flaws you pointed out do NOT exist.Defianthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15588600967178371792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4713539953570161412.post-34820115732219033232010-02-26T15:42:01.165-06:002010-02-26T15:42:01.165-06:00Yes thank you, I have already organized a rally fo...Yes thank you, I have already organized a rally for that day, but like I said my school is the most conservative university in a conservative state so you can imagine the difficulties we face. I curious as to what you do to organize such events?Defianthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15588600967178371792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4713539953570161412.post-62847553756099981072010-02-26T13:26:28.683-06:002010-02-26T13:26:28.683-06:00Hello,

The millions of young African-American men caught up in the "criminal" "justice" system might disagree, for example. Or anyone who has demonstrated against any part of the elite process here (or even appeared somewhere to witness this) -- such as Amy Goodman. Or any of the folks who have gone to fight in another country -- for the third time in five years -- to hold the status quo in place. Or any of those whisked away and tortured through "extraordinary rendition." Etc., etc., etc. Part of the repression is that we HAVE TO stay under the radar to avoid attack. And that, of course, lets the repression grow.Changeseekerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18350201531677548579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4713539953570161412.post-4503574810540146572008-09-22T07:41:00.000-05:002008-09-22T07:41:00.000-05:00It might be because the older folks are under some...It might be because the older folks are under some health-related stricture (low fat, low carb, reduced sugar) for whatever reason -- as you age, this can happen, if you want to live and keep moving. It might also be because older people's wallets might not bear the strain of the more expensive drinks under the current economy. Just some addition input. Interesting study, by the way. Those views are rather subjective i was just mentioning one way we are all oppressed and those african american men whether knowing it or not were probably defying that oppression as well as those who demonstrate against it. those in the military are most of the time entering the military as a last resort other wise who in their right mind would fight for oppression if they knew the truth? If it was my choice to either not go to college or join the military and go to college, the choice is obvious to me, NOT! but maybe those others are taught that it's the only way when clearly it is not. now would'nt you consider that informational oppression? I do!Bradhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16965245558611451478noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4713539953570161412.post-43739472115376636122009-05-31T16:00:08.448-05:002009-05-31T16:00:08.448-05:00I'm skanking the "keep your coins" g...I'm skanking the "keep your coins" graphic.
